![]() At that time, all the students and faculty of Wake Forest College were members of the Baptist denomination and many were members of the church, but that has since changed and the church, while still Baptist, is home to members from many different denominational backgrounds – and no denominational backgrounds at all. WFBC is a proudly progressive Baptist church and a faithful voice for unity, peace, justice and love. We have a vibrant children’s program, and are part of the Alliance of Baptists and its regional Baptist Youth Camp. WFBC has also been an active participant in local outreach ministries in the Forsyth County area, and helped found the Winston-Salem ministry for Meals on Wheels. WFBC was instrumental in the beginning of C.H.A.N.G.E. (Communities Helping All Neighbors Gain Empowerment), a grassroots interfaith organization that encompasses more than fifty faith communities and neighborhood organizations. We hope you’ll come join us for worship in Wait Chapel at 11 a.m. on Sundays. If you are unfamiliar with the WFU campus, just look for the only building with a steeple! * * * * * * * |
